At Azura Credit Union, one of our favorite moments of International Credit Union Day is the annual Topeka Credit Union Foundation (TCUF) Benefactors Breakfast. This special event highlights the spirit of cooperation among local credit unions and celebrates the positive impact we can make together in our community.
This year, TCUF proudly awarded a total of $50,575 in grants to several outstanding local organizations dedicated to making a difference. We are excited to share the recipients of these grants:
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka
- Junior Achievement of Kansas
- Kansas Children's Service League
- Prevention and Resiliency Services
- Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy
- Topeka Habitat for Humanity
- YWCA Northeast Kansas
- Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. - HCCI
As a co-founder and active participant in TCUF, Azura Credit Union is proud to pool our resources with other local credit unions to support these invaluable organizations. Together, we embody the principle of "Cooperation Among Cooperatives," demonstrating our commitment to uplifting our community.
In addition to the collective grants, we’re especially thrilled to announce that in celebration of TCUF's 20-year anniversary, a special $20,000 grant has been awarded to Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. - HCCI. This funding will bolster their Tenant and Landlord Counseling initiatives, which provide free education on the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords in Kansas. HCCI's program is vital, as it connects individuals to essential housing and related services, ensuring everyone has access to quality resources and guidance.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our community members for your ongoing commitment to empowering one another. Together, we can continue to create lasting change and foster a brighter future for all.
