Azura Donates Record-Breaking $122,570 in 2023 with Community Impact Card Program
We are excited to announce our RECORD-BREAKING annual Community Impact donation total, all of which was raised through our unique Community Impact Card program.
Each time Azura members make a purchase using a Community Impact Visa Debit Card, the credit union donates five cents to the participating charity of choice. Established in 2010, the program began with just one unique card, a benefit for TARC. Since then, it has grown to eight card designs and beneficiaries, including: Stormont Vail & Children’s Miracle Network, Military Veterans Project, Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka, TRM, Harvesters | Community Food Network, Supporting Kids Foundation and Shawnee Heights USD 450.
“We love seeing our members embrace the Community Impact Card program. It gives them a voice in choosing how their community-owned credit union gives back,” said Katie Beach, Community Relationship Manager. “In 2010, we started with less than 500 members participating in the program. Today, there are over 8,500 members actively raising funds for their charities of choice simply by swiping their Community Impact Cards. We look forward to continuing to grow this program and our partnerships.”
In 2023 alone, members helped raise the record-breaking $122,570 in donations; and, to date, Azura has donated over $640,215 to the participating organizations. This past year, credit union members collectively raised the following donations.
- TARC—$25,448.25
- Stormont Vail & Children’s Miracle Network—$9,358.80
- Military Veterans Project—$25,582.05
