Azura Employee Foundation

Every employee plays an important role in our mission to help our neighbors and strengthen our communities.

100% employee-led contributions. 100% heartfelt commitment.

The Azura Employee Foundation represents the credit union spirit–people helping people. Employee contributions to the AEF turn into charitable donations to nonprofits serving Northeast Kansas. Each year, the AEF donates nearly $20,000 to our community; and since 2018, the foundation has donated over $103,500 to community organizations.

Area of Focus - Improving Our Communities

In 2025, the Azura Employee Foundation will concentrate on supporting nonprofits that provide much-needed services.

Grant Application

The foundation welcomes applications from any nonprofit organization or community group that serves Shawnee, Franklin or Johnson County and/or Topeka, Lenexa, Mission, Olathe or Ottawa. The AEF's eight-member committee will review all applications and make funding decisions on behalf of Azura's employees.

  • We ask that funding requests not exceed $10,000. However, the AEF committee retains discretionary flexibility on the actual amount awarded.
  • Funding occurs twice a year, in spring and winter. Organizations receiving funds may apply again one full calendar year after receiving their grant.

In 2023, the AEF raised $17,000 in grants to benefit these outstanding organizations doing important work in our communities.

The AEF cannot fund individuals, for-profit organizations, capital projects, debt reduction, political campaigns, conference attendance requests, endowments or programs that promote religious or sectarian activities.
